FREE YOURSELF! The 4-1-1 on Preservatives

Based on Organic Facts, Coconut oil is famous throughout the world not only as an edible oil and hair tonic but also as an excellent massage oil and a moisturizer for the skin. In the tropical parts of the world where coconuts are readily available and used in many ways, natives use coconut oil for skin, as they believe that it protects from the sun’s harmful rays. So this natural oil, without any chemical or additives, can protect the skin in the hottest and sunniest places on earth better than the processed and artificial sun creams.

The best aspect of coconut oil that makes it so beneficial for skin is that it does not become rancid. When you apply it on the skin, it can work for a longer time, unlike many other oils, without getting rancid. Due to these various beneficial properties of coconut oil, it is used as an important ingredient in several skin care creams.

Now you do the math on your own. Coconut oil has become the new food and beauty trend, but if you really do your research here, it is not a trend. It is in fact, the fact. Coconut oil works on so many various areas of your body that it is Aaaaa-mazing! So you have to trust it and do what is right for you.

That is why when I started making body scrubs and body butters I decided among ALL of the oils to use (e.g., jojoba oil, almond oil, avocado oil, etc.), after research, the number one oil was coconut oil. Its ability to maintain its composure was most important, as ScrubHers products do not contain preservatives.

Just so you know, commercial products are typically loaded with preservatives to allow them to remain fresh during the long span between the time of manufacture and the time the customer finishes using it. Although the preservatives do extend the longevity of the products and help keep them free from bacteria, the preservatives themselves are often unhealthy. Many cause or promote skin problems and some are even reported to cause cancer. Individuals who are sensitive to these preservatives need to find preservative-free products.

This is the reason why ScrubHers is made-to-order, and not mass produced. When you order your product, I get to working on it right away, so that I can mail it you. I do not have products just sitting on the shelf because ScrubHers does not use ANY preservatives within its products.

What does that mean? What that means is, believe it or not, salt scrubs, bath oils, bath melts and other oil-based products can stay fresh as long as water is not introduced to the container during use. AND, by using natural oils that do not become rancid you know that your body butter will not create bacteria and or harmful eliminates to your skin.

The most effective way to keep your ScrubHers products free from bacteria is to ensure that you:

  • Store your products in cupboards and or cool places, as heat can also be damaging to natural products.

  • Try to avoid dipping your fingers into your jars and bottles, because our fingers can be a host to bacteria. Instead, use a clean spoon, toothpick, popsicle stick or another appropriate utensil to obtain the amount that you wish to use.

ScrubHers uses PET bottles with a turret or disc tops, which are wonderful for dispensing more fluid ingredients such as lotions and gels. This also helps before you even receive your product because we make sure to protect the product so that when you receive you are safe from harmful bacteria and unnatural preservatives which can harm your skin.
